Аннотация
This article analyzes the personal archive of Mirzo Somiya, who lived andworked in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and the epistolary legacy it contains from ahistorical and source perspective. Specifically, it highlights and explains, using practical examples,the traditions and rules of letter writing, based on the author's work "Sanati Makhzun." An analysisof Somiya's letter reports provides important insights into the administrative system of the BukharaEmirate, the procedures for citizen appeals, and socioeconomic life. The prices, types of services,and their costs reflected in documents are also assessed as an important source for studying theeconomic situation of that period. The article demonstrates the importance of a comprehensivestudy of historical sources
