Аннотация

Annotation. This article is devoted to the analysis of the religious worldview of ancient Sogd, the characteristics of its cult practices, pantheon, and rituals, as well as the role of religion in the social and cultural life of the region. Special attention is given to the interaction of various confessions and their influence on the formation of the spiritual culture of Sogdian society. The religious beliefs of ancient Sogd constituted a complex and multilayered system of ideas shaped by cultural and trade contacts along the Great Silk Road. The spiritual life of the Sogdians was primarily based on Zoroastrianism; however, Buddhism, Manichaeism, and Christianity (in its Nestorian form) were also widespread in the region.
