This article examines the role and impact of budget policy in ensuring socio-economic development. The study analyzes the main directions of budget policy, mechanisms for the formation and allocation of state budget resources, financing of the social sector, human capital development, and the stimulation of economic activity. Particular attention is paid to the impact of the efficiency and effectiveness of budget expenditures, the targeting and transparency of budget resource allocation, the rational use of public investments, and the strengthening of fiscal sustainability on socio-economic development. Based on the findings, scientific and practical recommendations are developed to improve budget policy and enhance the effectiveness of public financial resource utilization.
