Аннотация
This article examines Uzbekistan’s accession process to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the opportunities for eliminating trade barriers within this process. It analyzes the stages of Uzbekistan’s WTO accession between 1994 and 2025, the country’s tariff and non-tariff barrier system, as well as its logistics performance and trade facilitation indices. The findings show that Uzbekistan’s average bound tariff rate under WTO commitments is 9.4%, below the WTO members’ average of 10.4%, although tariff peaks in agriculture and food processing reach 30–50%. In 2025, 68 legal and regulatory acts were harmonized with WTO requirements.
