Аннотация

This article analyzes the establishment of the Amu Darya flotilla in the late19th and early 20th centuries, the stages of its development, and its role in the economic andmilitary-strategic life of the Turkestan region based on the materials of the "Turkestan Collection."The study highlights the importance of the Amu Darya flotilla in freight and passengertransportation, its role in ensuring the political interests of the Russian Empire in the region, theprocesses of forming river transport infrastructure, and the impact of flotilla activities on the livesof the local population. Additionally, based on statistical data, official reports, and periodicalpress materials preserved in the pages of the "Turkestan Collection," economic, military, andtransport-communication processes occurring in the Amu Darya basin are scientificallyevaluated. The results of the study serve to further reveal the role and significance of the AmuDarya flotilla in the history of Turkestan.
