Аннотация

This article examines the territorial distribution, numerical dynamics, andsettlement patterns of the Kyrgyz ethnic group, one of the widely represented ethnic communitiesof the Jizzakh oasis, on the basis of statistical and historical-ethnographic sources. The studyanalyzes the clan-tribal composition of the Kyrgyz population and the historical processes throughwhich it has formed as a diaspora on the territory of Uzbekistan. Drawing on official statisticaldata, field-research materials, and the findings of prior scholarship, the author presentsscientifically grounded conclusions regarding the ethnodemographic characteristics of the Kyrgyzpopulation of the Jizzakh oasis
