Pathological mechanism of chronic cerebrovascular accident is a unifying concept of slowly progressive damage to cerebral vessels. Cerebrovascular pathology has a very wide overview of causes and consequences, one of which is an autoimmune disorder, in particular systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This article of the literature review presents the main signs of damage to the central nervous system in SLE. These disorders are most often caused by small vessel disease as a result of involvement in the destruction process for various reasons, in 70% due to the thickening of the cytoplasm ( vasculopathy ) or the growth of endothelial tissue; thrombosis in 16%; the remaining percentage is predominantly cerebral infarction, where structures are noted, in the form of deposition of antibodies in the choroid plexuses. To study a deeper pathogenesis of the disease, the factors preceding and consequences of the so-called "silent" signs in SLE are considered; indicators of pathomorphological changes, for a differentiated approach to optimizing the tactics of therapy in patients with cerebral impairment against the background of SLE.
