Annotaciya
The use of awake surgery in surgical management of diffuse low-grade gliomas (LGG) mainly in “eloquent brain areas” became as a routine practice in many neurosurgical institutions and documented as standard procedure. Awake surgery is considered by a increasing number of studies as a gold standard technique for the surgical resection of LGG of the left dominant hemisphere. [1,2] However, intraoperative monitoring of the functions of non-dominant hemisphere (RndH) is frequently neglected due to low knowledge of the neurocognitive testing the complicated functions of the right non dominant hemisphere like sociocognitive function, visuospatial cognition and so on.
