EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF PLEURAL COMPLICATIONS OF COMMUNITY-ACQUIRED INFANT PNEUMONIA
Mamutova E.S.
Аңдатпа
A total of 65 cases of community-acquired pneumonia among children were analyzed. Risk factors for acute purulent-destructive pneumonia (APDP) were identified, including formula feeding (70.6%), delayed hospitalization (84.6%), and elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) levels >100 mg/L (43%). CRP level was found to be a prognostic marker of complicated disease course. Ultrasonography demonstrated high diagnostic value (up to 95%) in identifying and monitoring pleural complications.
