A clinical and neurophysiological study of tic hyperkineses in children was conducted. Eighty patients were examined and divided into three groups: the main group (with motor and vocal tics), the comparison group (children with hyperkinetic disorders without tics), and the control group (healthy children). In 73% of children with tics, electroencephalographic (EEG) studies revealed changes in brain bioelectrical activity, including paroxysmal foci, generalized theta waves, and epileptiform patterns. Most patients also had comorbid neuropsychiatric disorders such as ADHD, obsessive- compulsive disorder (OCD), and anxiety symptoms. The findings confirm the need for a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and treatment of tic disorders, taking into account both neurophysiological and psychopathological features.
