Abstract
Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) has always been among the urgent issues in neurology and pediatrics, both in research and practice. In particular, neurological practice deals significantly with conditions leading to severe health disorders and disability in children due to the demyelination process caused by the JC virus (John Cunningham virus). According to official data, in Uzbekistan, cases of this type of disease rank second after neurodegenerative diseases in the structure of childhood disability.
