Annotatsiya
Facial nerve neuropathy remains one of the most pressing problems in neurology and otolaryngology, despite significant achievements in the development of diagnostic and treatment methods. According to WHO data, the incidence of Bell's paralysis is 15-40 cases per 100,000 population per year, making this disease one of the most common peripheral nerve lesions. The pathological process is characterized by an acute onset, rapid development of symptoms, and the possibility of forming persistent functional disorders in 20-30% of cases, including incomplete restoration of facial muscles, synkinesis, and contracture.
