Аннотатсия
A comprehensive study was conducted to investigate the micronutrient status of patients with primary hypothyroidism living in the iodine-deficient Aral Sea region and its influence on the development of neurological complications. The study included 216 patients with verified primary hypothyroidism of varying degrees of compensation. It was established that deficiencies in iodine, selenium, vitamin D, and vitamin B12 significantly correlate with the severity of neurological symptoms, including peripheral polyneuropathy, cognitive impairment, and autonomic dysfunction. It was demonstrated that a combined micronutrient deficiency potentiates the neurological manifestations of hypothyroidism, regardless of the degree of thyroid status compensation. This finding substantiates the need for targeted nutritional correction as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
