FORMATION OF INTERNATIONAL AND REGIONAL STANDARDS FOR THE ABOLITION OF FORCED LABOUR

The scientific article examines the processes of formation of international and regional standards for the abolition of forced labour, international and regional acts adopted within the framework of the International Labour Organization and the United Nations, as well as regional organizations. The article analyzes the activities of subjects of international law to counteract slavery as one of the manifestations of forced labour, organizational aspects of the development of UN and ILO international acts on the abolition of forced labour, the manifestation of forced labour in its various forms, issues of fixing cases that are not considered forced labour in international and regional acts. In particular, the issues of prohibition of the use of forced labour and related practices contained in regional human rights instruments were studied. Conclusions are drawn on the formation of a system of international legal acts on the termination of forced labour and the significance of the main conventions of the International Labour Organization.
