The article describes the ongoing reforms in the country in the field of forensic examination The Law and presidential decrees aimed at the development of forensic expertise and measures taken to implement them are examined in detail. The effective ways of solving some problems in the field of forensic examination are listed. It is reported that a legal and organizational framework has been developed for the creation of a non-state forensic expert service in the country, on which this service was created and is currently working successfully. A number of advantages of the activity of the non-state institution of forensic examination are shown. The experience of many foreign countries in this regard is cited as an example. As a result of the creation and strengthening of this institution, it will be possible to satisfy the needs of law enforcement agencies and courts in qualified forensic examinations, reduce the time for conducting examinations and create healthy competition in the field of examination.
