LEGAL QUALIFICATION OF MODERN FORMS OF SLAVERY AS INTERNATIONAL OFFENSES

Аннотация
In this article, the author highlights various scientific and legal approaches to the problem of qualifying modern forms of slavery, human trafficking in international law and the national law of states. The author, based on the fact that the methods of combating international crimes and transnational crimes are not the same and differ in their focus and severity, identifies three groups of approaches to qualifying modern forms of slavery and human trafficking. A comparative analysis of the qualification of slavery and its various forms in the criminal legislation of various countries is made. It is concluded that when assessing criminal acts recognized by the world community as international offenses, one should proceed from the qualitative characteristics of international crimes and transnational crimes, which can manifest itself in the objective side of the act, subjects, degree of public danger, object of crime.
