SALIMOVA Diyorakhon SOURCES OF AIR TRANSPORTER'S LIABILITY FOR PASSENGER AND BAGGAGE TRANSPORTATION

Abstract
The article extensively covers, with examples, the sources of carrier liability and their application in the transportation of passengers and baggage by air in our country. Specifically, it is explained that the issue of carrier liability in domestic transportation is regulated by the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Air Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and other legislative acts. International transportation, on the other hand, is primarily regulated based on the Warsaw Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Carriage by Air (1929) and its corresponding protocols. It is noted that since air passenger transportation carried out on a contractual basis falls under the service agreement category, passenger rights are protected through the application of the relevant provisions of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Protection of Consumer Rights”.
