This article provides an in-depth analysis of the role and significance of the Incoterms (International Trade Conditions) provisions in private international law. Incoterms rules serve as an important tool in determining the obligations of the parties, the distribution of costs, and the transition points of risks in international trade agreements. The article examines the historical development of Incoterms, its latest edition in 2020, their practical application, and legal force in various jurisdictions. In particular, their practical significance and implementation are highlighted using the example of Uzbekistan. Although Incoterms is not a mandatory legal document, it has binding force as a result of their clear citation in contracts concluded between the parties, ensuring legal clarity and stability in international trade. The article also provides a legal assessment of modern problems of international trade law - protectionism, e-commerce, WTO reforms.
