TERM – AS AN ESSENTIAL CONDITION OF THE LABOUR CONTRACT

This article analyzes the specific features of determining the term of an labour contract as one of its essentialconditions, scholarly theoretical views, certain provisions of national labor legislation, and the experience offoreign countries. As a result of the research, the author puts forward the opinion that if an labour contract isconcluded for an indefinite period, the term of the contract should not be considered an essential condition, andattempts to substantiate this argument. Based on the study of the raised issue, scientific-theoretical and practical proposals aimed at improving national labor legislation have been presented.
