SOCIAL WORK WITH CHILDREN WITH DISABILITY

The article exams the latest changes in the field of policy and legislation on the rights of people with disabilities, the potential and opportunities of society aimed at improving the situation of people with disabilities, improving their quality of life, summarize the experience of working with children in domestic and world social rehabilitation practice, considers the problems social and cultural adaptation of children with disabilities, the activities of organizations aimed at providing social protection and support to children with disabilities and their families. There is an increase in attention, to the problem of social integration of people with disabilities into society, and to the problems associated with various difficulty of children with disabilities in everyday life, lack of full access to infrastructure, limited access to education, satisfaction of socio-cultural, sports needs and other demand. Based on the results of sociological research, the main aspects of the activities of specialists in social work in society are considered, recommendations for improving the mechanisms of socio-cultural adaptation of children with disabilities are proposed. The research was carried out within the framework of the OT-F1-100 project "Scientific and methodological foundations for improving the system of socio-cultural adaptation of children with disabilities".
