Abstract
In this article, the distribution, severity of development, and disease indices of the main fungal diseases of purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea L.)—fusarium wilt, leaf spot, alternariosis, and verticillium wilt—were evaluated across different locations in 2024. The studies were conducted at the F.N. Rusanov Botanical Garden as well as at the “Avesto Zardusht,” “Ikrom Kamron,” and “Marvarid agro” farms, where phytopathological monitoring was carried out on 50 plants at each site. It was established that in 2024 the overall incidence of fungal diseases in echinacea plantations ranged from 10 to 28%, while disease development varied between 3.0 and 12.0%. Among the recorded diseases, fusarium wilt and leaf spot were identified as the most widespread. The obtained scientific results are of significant importance for the development of preventive and integrated disease management measures to protect echinacea crops from fungal pathogens.
