Abstract
This article presents an analysis of existing scientific research in greenhouse agro-systems. Based on a review of the literature, the study examines moisture dynamics, methods for determining evapotranspiration, models of water movement within the soil–plant–atmosphere system, and concepts of sustainable irrigation for agricultural crops. A comparative analysis of the physical–mathematical models, methods, and water-saving irrigation technologies used in different countries was conducted. The review results identified scientific gaps in water resource management in local greenhouses and outlined key directions for sustainable crop production.
