Abstract
The article analyzes the design and operating process of a machine intended for soil preparation for sowing small-seeded crops. The study examines the process of dividing the cultivated soil layer into structural aggregates, their size and spatial distribution, and the effect of these factors on soil bulk density and loosening degree. The interaction of the main working elements of the machine—arrow-shaped tines, rod rollers, and rod-type working tools—during soil loosening, crushing, leveling, and compaction is analyzed. The degree of soil loosening is evaluated based on the ratio of soil bulk density before and after tillage.
