The development of the social sphere and social life in the system of socio-economic analysis is considered in the article as a factor in increasing the level and quality of life of the population. The state of the economy of any country in the world is characterized, first of all, by the level and quality of life of citizens. Indicators of the quality of life of the population are the most important indicators for assessing the real socio-economic consequences of the reforms and the degree of social tension in society. Improving the quality of life of the population is the most important strategic task of the development of society at the present stage, which determined the relevance of the topics of this scientific research. It is concluded that in order to improve the quality of life and overcome differences in the socio-economic situation of the population in conditions of limited budgetary resources, the task of building such an economy that will be able to eliminate the main factors of social tension in modern society is of particular importance.
