Abstract

This article analyzes the chronological development of the concept of "religious tolerance", in particular, its gradual development from ancient times to the present day. There is also an analysis of the historical roots and development of the concept of religious tolerance in the experience of Uzbekistan and foreign countries, focusing on the idea of ​​religious tolerance from a comparative perspective. The article also examines the interpretation of the idea of ​​religious tolerance in the United States and Europe and the different approaches to it, the theories of world scholars who have lived in different eras. There is also information about the evolution of the concept of religious tolerance in our country and modern concepts of religious tolerance.
