Abstract
This study investigated the distribution, damage level, and population dynamics of the wheat stem sawfly (Cephus pygmeus) in five districts of the Khorezm region. Field monitoring, visual inspection, stem sampling, and laboratory identification of larvae were employed. The results indicate that the highest damage occurs in May and varies across districts. The most influential factors affecting damage are wheat variety and fertilization rate, while moderate factors include sowing time, soil moisture, and previous crops. These findings highlight the need for developing integrated pest management strategies and strengthening monitoring systems.
