Аннотация
The article examines the current state of pasturelands in the countries of Central Asia in the context of global climate change, anthropogenic pressures, and the growth of agricultural production. Based on international and national statistical data, the scale of pasture degradation, the causes of their deterioration, and the socio-economic consequences for the region are analyzed. Special attention is given to the situation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, where pastureland degradation has acquired a systemic character and directly affects food security, biodiversity conservation, and the sustainable development of rural areas. The article also analyzes ongoing government reforms, the National Strategy–2030, programs for land restoration and increasing pasture productivity, and engages in a scientific discussion with foreign approaches to pasture management. Conclusions and recommendations are formulated on adapting international experience to the conditions of Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
