The article presents the significance and prospects of applying Doubled haploid (DH) technology in agricultural breeding and genetic research. Doubled haploid (DH) technology is one of the modern approaches in breeding and genetic studies that makes it possible to rapidly produce pure lines in a homozygous state. A number of methods are used for the development of double haploid varieties; this article analyzes the advantages and limiting factors of these methods.
