POVERTY REDUCTION AND SOCIAL WELFARE ISSUES IN THE ANCIENT EAST

Аннотация
With the spread of Islam in Central Asia in the VII-VIII centuries, the problem of poverty began to be approached with broader and stronger religious ideas than in religions before it. Islam is a religion that requires Muslims to perform not only prayers, but also financial assistance. However, in the works of Eastern thinkers and in various religious views, the issue of helping the poor and disadvantaged, not oppressing them, but, on the contrary, leading them out of poverty is theoretically justified. The fact that the presence of a large number of poor people is harmful to the state and the strengthening of society, as well as to the fact that poor people in the country own property, can be judged by the views of Mazdak ibn Hamdadani, the founder of the religious and philosophical doctrine of Mazdakism, widespread in Iran and Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
