THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL BASIS FOR CREATION OF SOCIOLOGICAL MONITORING

Abstract
The article examines the essence and content, structure and functions of the process of sociological monitoring of the quality of education, various systems and forms, its significance in the development of higher education. A comparative analysis of the definitions and descriptions given to this concept by various specialists was carried out, and definitions and characteristics were developed that meet the latest requirements and needs of our time. Theoretical and methodological issues of the sociological monitoring system, innovative methods and methods for monitoring the quality of rapidly developing higher education are also scientifically substantiated. Methods, algorithms and a set of technological tools for organizing this type of monitoring have been studied. Procedural, predictive, normative and competitive criteria for monitoring the higher education system, their relationship have been studied, a set of parameters characterizing each criterion for assessing the activities of higher educational institutions has been scientifically analyzed.
