In recent years, systemic changes have been taking place in vocational education: new educational paradigms and concepts are emerging, the content of education is being updated, and state educational standards of a new generation, characteristic of the competency-based approach, are being introduced. . This article reveals the problems of studying the phenomenon of their professional competence and trends in its development through a comprehensive study of the problem of developing the professional competence of future officers. An in-depth study of the problem, a transition from methodology and theory to the creation of state educational standards for military professional education based on a competent model of officers, have been revealed. In this article acknowledging the issues of developing tendency phenomenons through leaming the future officers professionsl competences is highlighted.
