In the article, the author substantiated that labor efficiency management is a pressing modern problem. This is due to increased competition and rapid environmental changes in the 21st century, as a result of which previous systems of employee certification are quickly becoming outdated, in the field of intellectual work in general, and especially in higher education institutions. It is shown that in modern conditions of digitalization, the work of professors and teachers has become more intense and rich. The features of the activities of professors and teachers of higher educational institutions and the assessment of their effectiveness and efficiency in the digital economy are considered. Methods and techniques for assessing results and encouraging the effectiveness of professors and teachers are classified.
