Modern religion increasingly affects people's minds, actively participates in economic relations, expressing its opinion on various issues, and does not remain indifferent to events taking place in the world. Based on the information received, we can conclude that in the near future the relationship between religion and economics will become closer, and the ties between them will only strengthen.This article presents the relationships and connections between religion and economic relations in the conditions of modern society. In addition, the influence of religious values and norms on the formation of economic institutions is analyzed. In addition, sociological theories of the origin of religious and economic institutions are disclosed in detail.
