This article examines the chemical composition of irrigation water in horticulture, specifically its macronutrients (Ca, Mg, K, Na) and micronutrients (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, B, Mo, etc.), which influence plant growth, development, and productivity. It is argued that the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of elements in irrigation water directly influence the agrochemical properties of the soil, the rate of nutrient absorption, and the physiological processes of fruit trees. It is emphasized that excess sodium and chloride ions in water lead to soil salinization and damage to its structure, while deficiencies of certain micronutrients cause physiological diseases such as chlorosis and stunted growth.
