HISTORY OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract
The article describes the historical foundations and evolution of business and entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan from ancient times to the present day, the initial roots and processes of development of private property and entrepreneurship. It examines the formation of the first entrepreneurial roots in antiquity within the historical and cultural regions of Ancient Sogd and Bactria, in addition to private and collective property in the Middle Ages, as well as the essence of the iqta system, describes property in the times of Amir Temur and the Timurids and the Central Asian khanates, ownership and development entrepreneurship. The article also considers the formation and development of the first business associations and institutions, banks and financial companies in Turkestan during the period of the Russian Empire. Restriction of private property and entrepreneurship in the country during the years of Soviet power, confiscation of private property from owners and its consequences, as well as the restoration of the foundations of entrepreneurship during the years of independence of Uzbekistan and the factors of its development.
