SOCIOLOGICAL THEORETICAL APPROACHES TO THE STUDY OF MARITAL RELATIONS

Abstract
This article examines the main sociological theoretical approaches to the study of familymarriage relations and explores their importance in the study of the institution of the family. Familyrelationships have been studied based on symbolic interactionism, structural functionalism, conflicttheory, and other approaches. These theories allow the study of various aspects of family-marriagerelations, ensuring the stability of society, continuity between generations, understanding genderrelations, understanding divorces and its consequences, studying socio-economic problems in thefamily, observing social changes, studying family in the context of global changes. Currently, thestudy of family-marriage relations and sociological research are relevant in Uzbekistan. For thisreason, the author has also resorted to these approaches in the study of theoretical aspects of changesin family relationships.
