HISTORICAL VARIABILITY OF ETHNO-NATIONAL CONCEPTS IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION

The article examines the exacerbation of global, geopolitical, ethnic, national problems in the context of the modern contemporary process of globalization. The emergence of independent national states in the post-Soviet environment, on a new methodological basis, the concepts of ethnos, ethnicity, nation, national identity, mentality, which play an important role in socio-political processes, ethno-national concepts are analyzed. The historical variability of ethnonational concepts is determined by the dialectical interaction of globalization processes and local sociocultural transformations, as a result of which traditional ideas about ethnos, ethnicity and nation undergo rethinking, while maintaining the function of constructing collective identity and political subjectivity.
