Аннотация
The article presents the results of laboratory studies on the germination energy and germination rate of cotton seeds with genetic, maternal (matrical), and ecological variability. Under the conditions of the Tashkent, Namangan, and Khorezm regions, the germination energy and germination rate were determined for cotton seeds of the breeding varieties Sulton, C-6524, Xorazm-127, C-5707, C-6575, C-6580, C-8295, C-8296, and C-8297, which were cultivated in 2023–2025. The study was conducted on seeds formed on the 3rd–8th fruiting branches I–III orders, 9th–11th fruiting branches I–II orders, and 12th–14th fruiting branches I order relative to the main stem. In the conditions of the Tashkent region, it was noted that the seed vigor and germination rate over the years were 81.1-84.3 and 93.8-99.2 % respectively; in the Namangan region — 80.7- 83.4 and 94.7–99.7 %; and in the Khorezm region — 81.0–83.9 and 95.2–99.6%.
