This article presents a spatiotemporal analysis of green cover conditions in Yakkasaray district of Tashkent city under conditions of climate change based on remote sensing data and GIS technologies. During the research, NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) values were calculated from Sentinel-2 satellite imagery for 2020, 2022, and 2024, and the dynamics of greenness levels within the territory were assessed. The ArcGIS and Google Earth Engine platforms were used to identify the spatial distribution of green areas and their temporal trends. The analysis results revealed that, under increasing urbanization processes in Yakkasaray district, the proportion of areas with low NDVI values has been gradually increasing. In particular, areas with low levels of greenery accounted for 57% in 2020, rising to 61% by 2024. At the same time, areas with high levels of greenery decreased from 9% to 8%. The study found that reducing green areas negatively affects the stability of the urban microclimate and may intensify the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect. The research findings have scientific and practical significance for the development of green infrastructure in Yakkasaray district, the preservation of existing green areas, and the development of climate change adaptation measures.
