THE ROLE OF CIVIL SOCIETY INSTITUTIONS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION IN SOCIETY

Аннотация
This article analyzes the characteristics of corruption as a social phenomenon and the factors behind domestic corruption. Attention is drawn to the systemic nature of corruption. Although domestic corruption appears to be less dangerous in the life of society, it is shown that it is dangerous due to its property of causing a tendency toward corruption in the public consciousness. It is substantiated that the perception of corruption as a normal phenomenon formed in the public consciousness serves as a mechanism ensuring the stability of the system formed over the years. The systemic nature of corruption is linked to the absence of factors that serve as an alternative to the state as a social institution and ensure that the state does not exceed its core functions. It is emphasized that copying and implementing programs from other regions in the fight against corruption will not be effective, and each region should develop its own strategy based on its own characteristics. Based on the fact that increasing the activity of civil society institutions is an important factor in the fight against corruption, the authors provide recommendations for the formation of relations between civil society and the state in the context of Uzbekistan.
