This article highlights the importance of onion cultivation in ensuring food security and increasing the export potential of agricultural products in our Republic. Modern harvesting technologies used in foreign experience are analyzed, and mechanizationproblems, crop losses and ways to reduce them in local conditions are considered on a scientific basis. An analysis of the problems of onion cultivation and harvesting using mechanization in our country is also presented.
