Аннотация
The article analyzes the system of seed cotton production in elite seed-growing farms and identifies existing technological problems associated with the ginning of small seed cotton samples. It is substantiated that the design features of DL-10 laboratory saw gins do not allow efficient processing of low-mass samples, which leads to reduced fiber–seed separation quality and a risk of mixing family-based samples. To address this issue, an improved technical solution of a laboratory roller gin is proposed, ensuring high-quality ginning of small quantities of raw cotton while preserving the sowing and varietal characteristics of the seeds.
