SUCCESSORS OF THE TURKISTAN STATE DURING THE YAKUBBEK PERIOD (1877-1881)

Abstract

The article examines the fate of the heirs of Yakub Beg, who, after the death of the ruler of Kashgar, at different times found themselves within the Turkestan region, under the patronage of the Turkestan Governor-General K.P. Kaufman. A critical analysis of archival documents, mainly correspondence between the heirs and the head of the region, sheds light on this page of history.
