Шерипов Умарбек Атажанович
Аннотация
This article describes the construction of the Karakum Canal - one of the largest water construction projects implemented in the Central Asian region in the post-war years of the former Soviet Union. After the construction of the canal, the decrease in the flow of Amu Darya water into the Aral Sea lead to the creation of unfavorable ecology around the island and the sea, as well as, the fact that free, unrestricted, unlimited water was taken from the Amu Darya for the development of cotton monopoly and the development of rice cultivation, and, in turn, it is reported that this crime committed against nature and society will lead to a disturbance of the weather balance in Central Asia, and to an extremely difficult situation for people, animals and plants.
