Аннотация
This article studies how to improve the economic efficiency of growing fodder crops for livestock development in Andijan region, one of the most densely populated areas of Uzbekistan with limited land resources. The research looks at the region’s agricultural potential, the land used for fodder crops, the number of livestock and their productivity, and factors that affect economic efficiency. The analysis is based on official statistics and reports from organizations like CGIAR and FAO. The results show that the land for fodder crops (16.1 thousand hectares) is not enough compared to the number of livestock, which causes a shortage of feed. The article suggests using intensive farming methods, growing multi-cut alfalfa, expanding silage production, and improving cooperation to strengthen the feed base.
