This article analyzes the impact of agritourism on the economy of rural areas based on foreign and domestic scientific literature. The contribution of agritourism to increasing farm incomes, ensuring rural employment, strengthening economic diversification, and sustainable development of regions is highlighted. Foreign experiences are compared and the priority areas and existing problems of agritourism development in Uzbekistan are summarized. The research results allow us to evaluate agritourism as one of the important factors in the development of the rural economy.
