CHARACTERISTICS OF CARYL CHURCHILL'S DRAMAS

Abstract
This article analyzes the characteristics of the work of Caryl Churchill, one of the leading representatives of modern English dramaturgy. The innovative style, feminist and political ideas, experimental structure, as well as linguistic and figurative aspects of his dramatic works are studied. The article analyzes Churchill's contribution to the development of performing arts, how his plays reflect topics such as gender equality, social justice, and power relations. The author's postmodern style and the principles of violating traditional theatrical norms are also taken into account.
