This article analyzes one of the key issues in social psychology — the process of individual socialization and its psychological foundations. Socialization occurs through the individual’s adaptation to society and the internalization of social norms and values. The study explores socialization mechanisms based on psychological theories such as Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, Erikson’s psychosocial development theory, Bandura’s social learning theory, and the “looking-glass self” concept proposed by George Herbert Mead and Charles Horton Cooley. Additionally, the article provides an in-depth analysis of the tools, stages, and influencing factors of socialization. This research highlights the psychological significance of socialization in personal development and serves as a theoretical basis for preventing psychological issues.
