SOME REMARKS ON THE NATURAL-GEOGRAPHICAL CONDITIONS AND TERRITORIAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CENTRAL ASIAN REGION

This article analyzes the natural-geographical conditions and historical territorial boundaries of the Central Asian region, as well as the interrelation between its mountainous and plain areas based on scientific sources. The author draws on geological, archaeological, ethnographic, and cartographic data to examine the paleogeographical development of Central Asia, the settlement patterns of ancient populations, climatic conditions, and the spatial distribution of natural resources. The study also explores the region's ethno-historical and economic-geographical specificities and the mutual relationship between mountain and plain zones.
