G‘ulomov, Ilhom
Abstract
This study investigates the effectiveness of student-led fieldwork as a pedagogical approach for documenting and teaching local English varieties in Uzbekistan within English Philology programs. The study argues that integrating local English varieties into philology education promotes linguistic inclusivity and better prepares students for real-world communication contexts. The research contributes to the growing literature on World Englishes and offers a practical model for experiential language education in Central Asia.
